Through intelligently guided self enquiry we are able to delve deeper through the levels of the mind so that we can actually get to know the story we are running. This will help you to open your consciousness so that you can see and experience life from many different perspectives. The more you can see from different perspectives, the more relaxed you will be, as you will be able to let go of needing things to be a certain way. Letting go is indeed key in the process of openning the mind to more and more possiblities.... and is also the path of awakening.
In this way we’re likely to encounter what we used to refer to as an "identity" or "mid life" crisis. 'Who am I?' and 'What am I doing?' are common questions that can cause confusion, insecurity, anxiety, insomnia, depression, weight gain or loss and many other emotional shifts. We used to perceive these as negative experiences. But with expanded levels of awareness we can approach this phase of development with a calm sense of inner knowing that recognises the necessity to perceive ourselves differently. We can recognise that these emotional and organic shifts in the mind and body are indicators of change that require a new way of Being.
We don't have to be tired and irritable, stressed out and anxious or fearful. We were born open, loving individuals that had no need to excessively eat, smoke cigarettes or over induldge in any way.... We were born balanced and whole. Our challenge, as adults, is to unlearn all that which has bound us up in confusion and contracted our open hearts and enquiring minds. In other words... to undo the conditioning of the past, to make new, more constructive and expansive pathways in the brain so that the patterns of the mind can become ones of openness and expansion... which will lead to loving, kind feelings of grace and gratitude.... which in turn will help create a happier YOU all round :-)
With 2012 now upon us it is time to be different than we have been, which means ACTUALLY doing things differently than we have been. It is time to be centred around what we can give as opposed to what we can take. So by connecting to our inner wisdom through the myriad of the mind we are able to connect to what is best for us, individually and as a collective. This is a process of letting go of what is now old energy and embracing a very new energy. If we view our up’s and down’s as a guidance system that carries information about our state of being we are guided to balance and healing through the wisdom of our inner knowing - which we perceive and interpret through the mind.
There is much change happening all around and within us as we experience economic and philosophical restructuring to proportions that, in our history, have never before been experienced at such a rate. This is a much needed renewal of vibrational energy as we let go of old ways of thinking, feeling, being and doing. It can cause all sorts of discomfort for, as creatures of habit, we really don’t like to experience change. We like things to stay the way they are… even if we are stagnantly stuck in what was falsely labelled a comfort zone and now needs relabeling as a misery zone – OR A RADICAL INABILITY TO REMAIN THE SAME! But the current balance of Life is demanding that we change.
I mean think about it... with seven billion people inhabiting earth, thats the biggest ever Collective Consciousness we've ever had.
The Sub Conscious mind likes change even less than the conscious mind and will continue playing the same old patterns as it continues to drive you away from what has become perceived as dangerous and painful and towards what is seen as safe and pleasurable – this is the animal, reptilian mind driven by autonomic fight and flight responses. But the definitions for things and our interpretation of them are changing now as we change our perspectives and grow in awareness of what it is we have really been doing – which for a lot of us has been dulling our consciousness through the consumption of sugar, wheat, alcohol, nicotine and prescription drugs to name a few of our societies anti consciousness drugs. And as we wean ourselves off of these drugs and become more and more aware of what is really going on around us we begin to notice that what used to be fun, is now not fun. What used to seem like a healthy way of being is now realized as unhealthy.
As we begin to wake up and become more conscious of our minds operations we begin to live life with greater levels of awareness that alert us to the mind dulling ways of the past. We awaken to the realization that things have to change if we are really going to find the peace and wellbeing that comes from fulfilling our true potential and awakening to our Higher Purpose/Higher Self way of being.
Only you can change your mind and move you forward in life. And only you can motivate yourself toward that inner grin. It starts by changing your mind. Your beliefs are just thoughts you keep having and they determine your experience of the world and everything in it.... and to be quite honest, you really can't believe the next thought you have - and it is also all you have to go by. So we really do need to learn to discern the difference between what we might call higher and lower level thoughts.
Lower level thoughts are chaotic and fleeting, often fearful, empty and meaningless, not to mention fuelled by illusion and delusion! Higher level thoughts are quiet and persistant. There is a wisdom and a depth to these thoughts... an inner truth that propels them. We have to be quiet and still in the mind to hear these higher level thoughts... we need to know our "story"
