See the Perfection that is Already There
It's time to expand beyond the box. It's time to take on more perspectives than the one we have as our own. In this way we will better see the different levels of operation and possibility within us. We are evolutionary, multi faceted, multi dimensional beings living in an evolutionary, multi faceted, multi dimensional cosmos. It's time we thought that way!
Life is a paradox. Everything we think and remember is a mixture of fact and fiction… and apparently nothing is "real" anyway?!
So even though I know that brick wall isn’t really real, I also know that I can’t drive my car into it and expect to remain unaltered. It’s also said that we’re all One, and while it does seem we are all connected, I know I cannot nourish MY body through the raw foods that YOU eat! I have to do that myself.
Consider for a moment how people are bought up – especially when religion comes into it. Another conundrum comes up here – we’re still un-unanimous as to whether the Universe is orchestrated through random events or a finely tuned Divine and Perfect Order… or perhaps that it just is that it IS?! But religion is a huge teacher – regardless of whether or not we were bought up suffocated by it or void of it. Either way, we come to feel that there is some driving force that comes from within us or through us, that some choose to ignore, some just don’t recognize, and others turn their existence into a lifetime of spiritual quest to find the “why for” of it all. Either way the contrast and comparison provides a beautiful point of learning and growth that combines chaos and order as a teacher that only appears should we choose to open the door and see what might lie beyond. And just knocking on that door, and being open to receive whatever we may find beyond it, opens us to the Spiritual, but not necessarily Religious, paradigm of our current era.
We are alive in unprecedented times where we have available to us all the teachings of all the lineages of all the cultures on our planet. We can make up our own minds and find what works for us based upon where we are in our growth and development and we are free to change our minds, evolve our perspectives and develop our attitudes as we will. And further, not only does everything have some validity and fit in to the web of life on some level somewhere, but our societies are more open minded than they have ever been – which is saying something?!
Apparently hierarchy is here to stay and simply a fact of life as the nature of reality increases, not only in chaos and order, but also in complexity - and although a lot of us don’t like that and judge it as negative, it’s inescapable and actually quite helpful. Just as atoms lead to molecules which lead to cells - a cell cannot be a cell without its molecules and atoms, just as letters make up words which make up sentences which make up paragraphs - a paragraph cannot be what it is without its counterparts comprising its wholeness. So it seems that as we evolve and grow, so too does our consciousness and growth, and that we are on an ascending kind of wagon where the randomness and chaos occurs at the different levels of the hierarchical order. In other words as we evolve and ascend through the process of evolution things increase in complexity of nature until we adjust, when they appear to plateau and then we ascend another rung through some more chaos until the order appears in our comprehension for a finite period once again, and on infinitum.
At the end of the day, if you're comfortable, you are probably not evolving!
If we are in a process of evolutionary ascension, doesn’t the law of gravity tell us that “what goes up must come down?” So how curious is it for us to consciously watch, and even partake in, how long we continue to ascend before we learn how to bring that energy back down effectively? Or perhaps it’s a continual process of bringing higher levels of consciousness down to expand earlier levels and going back up even further to bring down an even higher level? Perhaps we simultaneously ascend and descend until the Consciousness of all that is experiences eternal non-duality? And what happens to the ego? Does it get bigger and bigger until it merges wtih the one? Or smaller and smaller till it ceases to exist? There are differing schools of thought on this one and the jury certainly isn’t out for me here yet either. But I suspect it is a matter of integration and that that must happen at the level of the heart - and for that to happen we need to see the perfection that is already exists; for it can only be perfect.
Our minds are intrinsically un-controlled. We either let them be controlled by religions and other people and institutions, or we let them just run rampant and control us anyway?! Just try sit still for two minutes and see how quite you can keep your mind for a full, whole 120 seconds. Unless you are an experienced meditator, and even then, two minutes of concentrated nothingness will be one of the most challenging things you ever seek to achieve; and that is a mind controlling YOU. It needs to be the other way round for us ALL.
Essentially the goal is to find a place in the mind of balanced and continual peace and acceptance of what is – whatever it is. From there we do the best we can to change what we can change and accept what we can’t change without getting too ruffled with the process. With awareness and acceptance, intelligence and diligent persistence, life unfolds perfectly - because it already is perfect. It’s just that sometimes perfect doesn’t feel as comfortable as we would like it too.
So perhaps anything we make up that helps us grow to another level is perfect; so long as we move through and beyond it, yet take the experience as valid for what it was – an opportunity for growth and development and a greater understanding for improvement through hindsight later. It’s very rare that anything or anyone is 100% wrong. There is always some validity in every perspective, but hanging on to old thoughts, places, people, ways and things is something that prevents us from living in the ever present Now and growing into a more productive and happy future.
We need to be at peace, and see the perfection that is already here, in the life that we are living now, for only when we each see the perfection and experience inner peace can we spread that inner light and love around in all that we do. Only then, while we are in this skin encapsulated ego, do we have a shot at World Peace.
Beliefs are just thoughts we keep having. So if what you believe in constricts you, holds you back or confines you in anyway, then you need to change what you are thinking. It’s become obvious now that we are an evolutionary species and that we are evolving whether we like it or not, believe it or don’t. So it is only as we become conscious of our evolutionary growth and therefore aware that we are Consciousness becoming aware of the evolution of our Self that we get to consciously create the unfolding of that.
So it is time to check in with what we think and see if it is creating a peaceful inner environment or an un-peaceful inner environment. And if it is the latter - then it is time to CHANGE IT NOW! Only YOU can move you forward in life and only YOU can create the life you want to live. You are the smaller self of which the world is the larger self. How you treat and regard yourself is a direct reflection of how you treat and regard the world. Regardless of what it is, it is time that the human species as a collective whole spent more time quietening the mind and finding Inner Peace so that we may BE more peaceful and healthy and live more sustainably and consciously in these delicate times. We have the resources and information now. We also have the intellect and ability to think for ourselves and make our own decisions. It’s time to push the boundaries, think outside of the box and walk our talk. It is up to us to reflect the Consciousness of our Planet in how we BE what we DO, and Do what we BE. It’s time to live an authentic life of integrity in an outter world that reflects inner peace.
