Choice

The expressions of Mind, Body, Heart and Soul are deeply challenged without the exertion of ones Choice! Of course there is a certain amount of instinctive, natural or spontaneous creative impulse, or an unexplainable and sometimes uncontrollable kind of Force, that seems to weave its way through ones being and doing, but, on the whole, if one wants to manifest their true and highest potential, it takes perseverance, persistence and choice. It’s a brave path not intended for the faint hearted or reluctant. But along the way, at some point whether in this cycle or the next, we awaken to the realization that it is the only path there is, and, that a faint hearted soul is not a fully loving soul, and, a reluctant soul, a stagnant soul. We have to choose to take our seat on that path, it does not choose us, not normally, and we have to continually choose to recommit to that choice.

In choosing to continually recommit to that choice we give the Mind, Body, Heart and Soul permission to evolve and grow and recognise itself as Consciousness becoming aware of it’s own evolution.

Life in the physical realm is so very short and so very precious… especially this life that you are living now. If you are reading this, you are someone who has chosen to incarnate at an extraordinary moment and time in the history of humanity. You are alive in truly unprecedented times. You are alive in the times when we finally realized that we are evolutionary creatures living in an evolving cosmos… and, that it is up to us to make it a sustainable one.

Never before have we lived in the Age of Information. Never before have we had this much information available to us at the tips of our fingers. So never before has it been so obvious that so many of us are choosing to live in an old reality, under an old paradigm, with our heads stuck firmly in the sand. We have the opportunity now to learn from spiritual disciplines and teachers from all lineages and cultures at the press of a few buttons. We can diagnose our own health issues and challenge the medical profession like never before. We are individually accountable in a way we have never before been. We are challenged to speak our truth and to only record, print or film that which we hold true about ourselves… we all have the capacity to be self publishers and with that responsibility comes the notion that it is our self who is liable for our actions. For never before have we had the ability to connect with as many people as we have today and to be as visible as we choose to be.

Not so long ago there was just 9 degrees of separation; now, with the internet in billions of homes across the planet, as well as in the palms of our hands on cell phones, and, with the likes of Facebook being a house-hold name, it’s probably more like one degree! We are so connected into the world wide web of life that it is only the choice of ignorance that can keep our heads in the sand any longer. Further, never before have we had the kind of global issues that we have today. The problems we face as a global collective are the kind of problems that Choice require a higher level of consciousness to solve than that which created them. We have God-Like powers with our ability to kill and destroy at the press of a button, to toxify and pollute with waste and industrialization and to exclude and negate with the flick of an ignorant hand. Our problems are manmade and are requiring an event the likes of which we’ve never experienced before, ever, in order to resolve it. And, at our current level of consciousness and development we can’t even possibly imagine what that might look like.

What this means is that it is time to wake up!

Here’s a quick story.

Once upon a time, a father was tucking his four year old boy into bed. The four year old looked up at his father with his amazingly large, blue eyes and asked, “Daddy, you know when you’re asleep how you can wake up, well when you’re awake, can you wake up more?”

A truly profound question for a four year old and one to which the answer is most certainly YES! Yes we can wake up more, yes we can notice more, yes we can take on more, yes we are capable of more, yes we are more than we think we are and yes we can become aware of more than just that which is going on in our own experience of reality. And as part of a collective consciousness, living in a precariously unsustainable environment as we currently are, it is our moral obligation to wake up more NOW.

But we have to CHOOSE to do that. We have to choose to take our seat by turning inward and embarking along a path of self inquiry. And along that path we realize that within our being we contain the entire universe and, within that, all the answers we need. It all starts by looking into your own inner psyche and getting better acquainted with the thoughts you keep having. For these thoughts form your belief systems and it is belief systems that mould the societies, cultures, nations and countries upon which humanity evolves. And most of ours are based upon fear. It is time that this changed.

If we take a nutshell look back through history we can see how our attitudes have changed from the Clan of the Cave Bear times till now… and in so doing we can imagine how the challenges of our survival have also evolved.

We’ve evolved not only how we feed, dress and sustain ourselves, but we’ve also evolved how we relate to each other, as well as animals and plants. We’ve evolved our modes of transportation from our feet to bikes, cars, trucks, planes, rockets and submarines. We’ve evolved our attitudes so that women can vote and hold bank accounts and we finally outlawed slavery and let black people ride on the bus with white people… yet, we certainly haven’t arrived; and there is infinitely more we can bring our awareness to. The evolutionary process is surely an immeasurable one. But the kinds of questions it is drawing our attention to now is how to sustain, not just ourselves and each other, but the planet and what may lie beyond.

So it seems that history would suggest that we are evolving creatures living in an evolving cosmos. Which means that Mind is evolving – we have the capacity to take on not just our own perspective but that of a multitude of others. Body is evolving – average life span is increasing to beyond 100 years and more. Heart is evolving – we have the capacity to love beyond our own family, race, color, sex and creed. Soul is evolving – from one lifetime to another along a path of Karmic clearing. So, so too must Spirit, or Consciousness itself be evolving; which means we finally become aware that there is no God sitting up there on a cloud damming our ways and persecuting us with fear and, neither, is there a God sitting up there deciding when he’ll come down and save us from ourselves. The waiting for that time is over! It is up to us. Nobody is going to do it for us. We have to save ourselves; which means we have to change our belief systems to ones that aren't shrouded in fear. And we must make the CHOICE to do so.

So this wee rant, beautiful people, is a pledge, or a plead, that you find, in your own way, your own path to liberation, freedom and peace. And then you gather ideas that you put into action and you embark upon that path. You choose to take your seat and you choose to manifest your true and full potential in all realms of mind, body, heart and soul so that, together, we may speak through the one True Self. As within, so without. Just look within and create peace and love, joy and longevity by BEING peace and love, joy and longevity.

The formula to life is to evolve your mind and your body, your heart and your soul. It is up to you to embark upon activities and experiences that help and encourage you to do this in all these four quadrants of the formula. This website aims to provide you with as much information as it can to help and guide you along this path. But you need to gain help, support and guidance from many other sources too. As a human being it is part of our nature to ask for help – we cannot do everything alone. As they say, it takes a community to raise a child. So too does it take a community to raise a nation, a nation to raise a country and the coming together of all country’s to raise a planet. It is your responsibility to create that help so that you, and the planet, may evolve in all four quadrants of life and love, learning and growth.

Things you might CHOOSE to do:

• Use reusable bags in your groceries instead of plastic ones.
• Filter your water from the tap or, if you can, get it from a spring and not plastic bottles for one time use.
• Plant your own vegetable garden.
• Plant a community garden. Maybe tear down the fences between your neighbours in order to do this.
• Buy only local, organic produce.
• Cut sugar out of your diet and notice the emotional stability that comes.
• Become vegetarian.
• Become a vegan.
• Become a raw food vegan.
• Carpool or take the bus.
• Engage in spiritual study and self inquiry.
• Start a conscious embodiment practice like yoga, tai chi or qi gong.
• Meditate.
• Get a therapist and work through your Shadow states.
• Cultivate positive and constructive thoughts.
• Love and accept yourself deeply and truly.
• Look for the positive or productive in everything.
• Become free of judgement.
• Push your own boundaries.
• Walk, talk and BE your inner truth without holding back.
• Accept what is.
• Create community activities that educate people on health, spirituality, evolution, growth etc.
• Bring peace and sustainability into the heart of the philosophy of every school.
• Become better acquainted with your personal world view.
• Evolve your personal world view.
• Love more.
• Create peace by being peace.
